Ovum: N/A
Larvae: larvae similar to Cucullia dammersi, which notes: blue gray larva with complex pattern of black patches, an interrupted dorsal yellow line with two yellow patches per abdominal segment and yellow band below the spiracles. Prolegs green with a central black spot. Head capsul blue gray with numerous darker blue gray patches. Cucullia dammersi early stages described by Comstock and Dammers per Powell, J. A. & P. A. Opler, Moths of Western North America.
