Larvae: larvae enter a pre-pupal diapause, within its cocooon all through the winter. Change in morphology and metabolism reduced (1st image to right). Larval head capsule retracted (2nd image to right).
Pupa: pupation occured sometime during spring or summer. Zero change in humidity. Trigger would be photoperiod and/or temperature. No change in humidity during this period.
