Field Notes & Observations:
Larvae - 6/2010, Larvae and cocoons found only on Cercocarpus. Larvae found alongside Hemileuca eglanterina.
 
Adults - 10/31/2008, Adult male flight becomes active at twilight. Flight observed, male & female, from Oct 15- Nov 15, same locality.
-11/1/10, males arrive to calling female being at 5:30pm. Female flight not observed until early November.
- pre-eclosion female found in habitat (image to right) and placed in a cage where adult emerged, then was used to call in males.
Pheromone baiting: - Agapema female was placed in habitat to test pheromone on Saturnia albofasciata male. Image to right shows females of both Saturnia and Agapema.
